Self-proclaimed king of rap Khaligraph shocked and terrified many of his fans when he pulled a macabre stunt for his performance at last weekend’s Jameson Live Concert held at Uhuru gardens.
Ndugu Omollo a.k.a Papa Jones told Nairobian’s Heads Up,
“I wanted to make a statement and my song mazishi was best incorporated with the coffin stunt. I wanted to leave a lasting mark. You see, most Kenyans performances are not memorable, so I decided to think outside the box and introduce a whole new wave. I believe when you go on stage, you must be creative.”
The Mazishi hit maker went ahead to reveal it was not his first time in a coffin.
“This is not my first time in a coffin. I have shot a video in a casket. I don’t believe in superstitions. I have seen some comments from some people that Khaligraph wants to die, which is just humorous. When death come, it comes. WWE wrestler undertaker has been lying in caskets for a long time and he is not dead.”
Khaligraph also revealed that he bought the coffin at Sh65,000.
“I bought the casket for Sh65,000. The are no caskets for rent. After using it, I plan to sell it for half the price. I used to keep them, but I realized it was a waste of money.”
