Tanzanian musical star Darassa is riding high on his latest song Muziki, which has been a sensational hit since November 2016 and trust me, it's not going away anytime soon.

The song is currently at 5.7 Million views and is still getting massive airplay on all TV and radio stations, relating well with people of all ages, races, and backgrounds, and when it comes to night clubs, this is the song that all people stand up to dance to.

Darassa real name, Shariff Thabeet was scheduled to perform in Kenya a week ago, but this was canceled and word on the street is that there was a misunderstanding on the contract for the show that included payment issues.

However, the Hip-Hop sensation is bound to rock Nairobi next week and his fans can finally relax and get ready to be thrilled by the talented Darassa, with his magical voice and lyrical prowess.

In a recent interview with a local radio station in Arusha, Darassa had a special message for his Kenyan fans, where he opened up revealing why he hadn't performed as scheduled.

Darassa disclosed that he values his fans in Kenya more than money and that he doesn't want money to get in the midst of how he values people or to quantify the importance of humanity.
Kenya…mimi nafikiri kuna watu wangu wengi kuliko hela. So I don’t see hata nikienda hela inakuwa tu part ya maisha yangu, lazima niishi nayo siwezi kuacha. Lakini siweki hela kwenye thamani ambayo pengine dunia imeipa. Sitaki hela ziingilie thamani ya watu, sitaki hela ikae katikati ya mtu na mtu

The singer added that he still needs cash for his daily needs, but that doesn't mean that it plays a greater value when it comes to how he treats people.

Darassa revealed that he has a great respect for Kenyans and that fans here are very supportive reassuring Kenyans that he will give them the best music and come visit;

So hela ni part ya kuendesha vitu vyetu vya kila siku. Lakini hela haziwezi kuwa thamani yako wewe, kuchagua thamani ya hela mbele yako, siwezi kuwa mtu ambaye anataka kuwa. So respect ambayo ninayo Kenya watu wanatusupport kazi zetu na wanatuhitaji. Tunahitajika karibu dunia nzima ambako muziki wetu unafika na tuna utaratibu wa kufika hapo.
