Hey Beehives, Rihanna named richest female musical artiste
Rihanna has been named the richest female musical artist by Forbes.
The Diamonds singer's $600 million net worth has eclipsed the fortunes earned by peers such as Madonna, Beyonce and Celine Dion, according to the publication.
The 31-year-old vocalist's tops the list ahead of pop icon Madonna, who finished second with $570 million. Meanwhile, Céline Dion clocked in third with $450 million and Beyoncé rounded out the luxe list at $400 million.
While her musical earnings make up some of her worth, a massive chunk of her riches is derived from her work with the French luxury line LVMH, of which her Fenty Beauty by Rihanna line is a subsidiary.
The You Da One singer first put out her makeup line two years ago at Sephora, racking up sales eclipsing $100 million over the course of its first few weeks. The Grammy winner has also cashed in with her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty by Rihanna.
The Barbados-born beauty has said that her motivations in branching out her brand are artistically-driven, not commercially.
'I can create jobs for other people. My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else or, in the future, for if I have kids.'
