Joe Mwangi who spent the night a guest of the state has been arraigned in court.

Police are seeking to detain embattled child star Wendy Waeni's manager Joe Mwangi for seven days on allegations of forgery.

Mwangi allegedly forged a letter purporting it to be a letter from the Interior CS Fred Matiang'i and sent it to the complainant Magdalene Syombua, so as to intimidate her.

The prosecution claims that Joe intends to travel to London for purposes of evading the jurisdiction of the court.

They have further claimed that Joe switched off his mobile phones and that is why it was difficult to arrest him.

His defence has, however, submitted that his phones were off as Joe was avoiding numerous messages from unknown people hence he felt threatened.
