The family of John Apewajoye, Ruth Matete's late husband, has now written a letter to the Nigerian government, requesting that their son's corpse be buried by 'his Kenyan wife'

This comes days after the Nigerian embassy barred the gospel artist from burying the body.

The late Apewajoye died after sustaining injuries caused by burns after a gas accident at their home in Athi River.

According to an autopsy conducted on Apewajoye, it revealed that he had over 60% burns and sepsis set in and led to his sudden death.

With many suspecting foul play leading to John's death, Ruth and her family paid for four autopsies with independent firms.

They all pointed out to one thing, and upon accepting the results, Apewajoye's family wrote to their government allowing Matete to bury the remains of their loved one in Kenya.

The letter which is dated on April 29th, reads;

“WITH REGARDS TO THE DEATH OF OUR SON, JOHN APEWAJOYE, WE REQUEST THAT THE CORPSE SHOULD BE BURIED BY HIS KENYAN WIFE WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY FOR HIS SOUL TO BE AT PEACE. ALL AUTOPSY RESULTS DULY ACCEPTED.”

May John continue resting in eternal peace.
