Avril reveals she has featured her son in her album

Avril dropped by the Kiss FM studios to hangout on The Morning Kiss with Kamene and Jalas in the weekly segment Unplugged.

She started her career back in 2008 with the hit song, 'Chokoza' featuring Marya.

"That song influenced a lot of bad behaviors. But I must say, I always say consistency is key."

Kamene played the song, 'Promise' as Avril did it acapella live for the Kiss FM listeners.

"This song was deep, kind of like a fast dance of the wedding which is something different in as much as you do a lot of love songs."

Talking about the song, Avril revealed that

"Promise was co-written by BenSoul"

She also mentioned that her album, 'Spirit' has a couple of songs co-written by other artistes. Another amazing surprise is that,

"My baby M is part of the album telling me 'mama sing mama sing'."

Jalas appreciated Avril for speaking out that her songs are co-written.

"I am happy that you're an artiste who has come out to say that their song has been co-written it not like some other nyangaus who will maintain."

Trying to be good at it all, Avril told Ala C it's not easy.

"Balancing motherhood and work can be confusing and it’s easy to become depressed as one learns on the job."
