'They go sleeping with boss's wives' Jimmy Gait on why Kenyan women are mistreated in The Middle East

Jimmy Gait this morning was a guest on K24's Hangout Friday with Mung'ala Mbuvi and he said things that clearly did not sit well with Kenyans.

He shared that he appreciates when he sees someone hustle, feeds their family and even saves. And so he came up with a program to help Kenyans get jobs abroad as locally there are no jobs, with youths crying out over unemployment.

Speaking to Mbuvi, he said he helps most get jobs in the Middle East because there ae so many opportunities. Then he mentioned the misconceptions that surround jobs in that region.

Mbuvi even mentioned he has seen so many stories of girls crying out because they are sold into sex slavery and even others do not make it home alive.

"It is very important for some who want to go to the Middle East to first of all know if the agency that is taking them there has processes in place to assist them in case of a problem. Some agencies cut corners and they can land you into problems.

There are laws in place that govern the agencies, the employees and the employers but in the case of indecency and indiscipline then someone has to face the consequences. I just want to encourage Kenyans to go to the Middle East to focus on their work. " Jimmy Giat said

He went ahead to add that there is always a back story behind the story and that part is never told.

"The ladies never say why they are mistreated. There are so many Kenyan men working in the Middle East in Saudi, Qatar, Dubai the reason you don’t hear about men being mistreated is because they do not go sleeping with their boss's wives. Some of them are university graduates so when they go there, they're very frustrated and they can do anything. Some go looking for sponsors and when that guy knows you have no papers, they will mistreat you. And those stories are just a small percentage. Those that are disciplined work comfortably there " He added.
