Imagine waking up and learning from social media that you're gay. Not because you said it but because of a gesture you made that had people questioning your intentions.

That was Deputy President William Ruto's son, Nick was the talk of the town on Sunday after a video of him receiving a gold chain from a male 'mzungu' friend went viral.

In a Facebook post, Nick responded to the claims, asking Kenyans to understand the value of friendship.

"Build your circle and celebrate each other. If you can, gift your friends the best you can on their special occasions like Birthdays, Anniversaries, weddings e.t.c.

This will help you understand the value of friendship and comprehend that gifting a friend of the same or Opposite gender does NOT amount to a sexual/erotic relationship. Thank you all for your Birthday wishes and gifts." Nick clarified.

Can we talk about how calm he is in that post? We all need such grace because...

Nick just turned 30 which is where they say life begins. From the Kiss 100 family, May this be the greater year yet.
