From Lupita Nyong’o’s motion that ‘Dreams are valid’, over 900 candidates applied to run as aspiring presidents of the republic of Kenya.

However, the registrar of political parties only approved 71 candidates to run for presidential seat while 10, from the original 900, were cleared to run by their respective political parties.

On today’s Morning Kiss, Kamene and Obinna were dissecting how over ambitious some candidates are forgetting that there are ‘big boys’ in the game too.

While discussing about the front runners, the two created an argument on whether Professor George Wajackoyah’s manifesto is a great idea or he is just a marijuana farmer.

He is just a weed farmer” Obinna started, “No, don’t call him that, he is not a farmer, can’t you just respect this highly intellectual man.” Kamene ranted asking Obinna to quit referring to the professor as a marijuana farmer, “I respect him but is he not a ganja farmer?” countered Obinna while Kamene responded, “If you call him a ganja farmer you are making him sound like a pedi.

According to the professor, his baseline manifesto is to legalize marijuana, farm the product just as other countries such as Rwanda do, then export the goods to help earn profit that will later help to clear off Kenya’s debt.

According to Citizens, professor George is open minded and has ‘new age’ solutions to help clear the outstanding loans which happens to be a huge concern given the amount of money and the limited time we have to pay as a country.

However controversial such a manifesto might be, it's not the worst idea ever.

The country can invest on the product, industrialize it then export it to make huge money to clear its debt which Kamene had earlier on mentioned that ‘it is a ticking time bomb’.

Nonetheless, Kiss FM isn’t advocating for the legalization of marijuana.
