Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction where intended parents work with a gestational surrogate who will carry and care for their baby/ babies until birth. Intended parents use surrogacy to start or grow their families when they can't do so on their own.

Below is a list of celebrities who've used surrogates to grow their families.

1. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Both internationally celebrated movie giants had been hoping for a child after tying the knot and Priyanka said when the time was right it'd happen.

Although the two kept the process all hush hush the couple shared their good news, the arrival of their bundle of joy, daughter Malti on Jan. 21, 2022

2. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian 

The now divorced couple hired a surrogate to carry their third child, Chicago, and fourth child Psalm.

Kim was open about the whole process gushing over how indebted she was to the lady

 

"We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care," the reality star wrote on her website after the January 2018 birth of daughter Chicago.

3. Gabriel Union and Dwayne Wade

The actress/writer and her NBA star husband welcomed their first child together, daughter Kaavia James, via surrogate on Nov. 7, 2018. The ecstatic couple shared family photos in the hospital on Instagram.

4.  Jimmy Fallon and Nancy Juvonen

Jimmy Fallon during an episode of his show 'The Tonight Show' referred to surrogates as angels.

"It's true, we had a surrogate. I can't say anything more because I don't know what the rules are. But I just want to say that there are angels in Dallas, Texas, so thank you so much." Jimmy said.

Both their kids Winnie Rose (first born) and Frances Cole were born via surrogacy.

5. Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson 

Though no longer together the reality show star and basket ball player welcomed their second child ( a boy) through a surrogate early this month ( August 5th)

6. Late Michael Jackson

Late King of Pop Michael Jackson's youngest child Prince Michael II (nicknamed "Bigi") was born via a surrogate in February 2002.

His two elder sibling Prince and Paris were however conceived by Michael's then wife Debbie Rowe.
