Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has sought to clarify that he is not a member of the Freemasons after his post raised eyebrows.

On Monday, Sonko used his socials to alert Kenyans that the Freemason society was in a crisis meeting over Ambrose Rachier’s recent interview.

The update prompted a section of Kenyans to link him to Freemason, something he has denied.

He says he shared the Freemason update as a third party.

“Those saying mimi ni wa freemason ati coz of posting this pic mushindwe katika jina la Yesu kristo I serve the living God who has never let down.

"So all those saying mimi ni wa freemason mutaanza kukojoa kitandani one by one very soon sandararararara sandarabababababa kantarayakasantaraya meranashinapa kantriparapapapara mekatrisinahelamunarararararar,” Sonko wrote.

He went on to make a prayer for people who were accusing him of being freemason.

“May you all be defeated in the mighty name of Jesus? I don't worship the devil and I will never worship the devil coz our God, the God of Abraham, God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Allah the God of Muhammad swallalahu Aleiwasallam has blessed me with a lot of countless wealth for serving his people.

He continued; “The photos were forwarded to me by Richy at 6.24 pm and I posted them to update the public at around 7.45 pm. The only editing I did was to remove the name of the advocate in the WhatsApp message,”.

On Monday, Sonko wrote;

“There was a crisis meeting at Freemason HQS after top Nairobi lawyer's confession,”

A few days ago, Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier a renowned Freemason member refuted claims that the society offers human sacrifices.

"I have heard some saying we sacrifice family members; there is nothing like that. It is universally practiced worldwide,”.

"I want to thank God that all my children are alive. I have lost no child or sibling and they are known. My very close family members are there. I have taken close to 20 people in,” he stated.
