Netherlands-based Kenyan artist Wendy Kimani has shared her journey with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and the challenges she has conceiving due to the condition.

PCO is a hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges.

The artist cum content creator has been sharing her journey via social media to help anyone going through the same.

"PCOS Encouragement POST Alert!

I found this ultrasound pic from when we were trying to conceive for a second baby( by the way, we decided no more kids so we stopped.)

But before we decided, we tried for like 6 months, at that point my period had just disappeared the month before so thought it was a random month.

NOPE! my unhealthy corona habits had finally caught up with me and my period was gone. We tried.

Unsuccessfully! 😞😞so I went to the obgyn and we started on hormones Provera and letrozole."

Wendy says the wait was not easy but it was worth it.

"Every week I had to go back for an ultrasound to check for mature follicles that would then create an egg and every week I was told they didn't grow big enough. It was intrusive and stressful and really reminded me of how I conceived my miracle PCOS baby Taji( without all that stress). 🌟Swipe left to see how big he's gotten🥰🙏🏾"

So I decided to do the same thing I did to reverse my symptoms and get back to a healthy baby-having place.

1. Cleaned up my diet, I decided to do the Keto diet to see how fast I could balance my hormones and reverse my symptoms. i also did intermittent fasting.

2. I walked every day for 30 min. This is the best Workout for PCOS if you ask me.

3. I bought inositol to help with insulin sensitivity, evening primrose which is great for reducing inflammation, Vitamin D, and magnesium.

4. Pushed myself to be consistent. In 2 months my period was back. In 4 months I had lost 7KGs (whaaaat!!!)

If you are feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start ....Start here. YOU GOT THIS!
