Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o caused a hullaballoo after stepping out in a breastplate (paint-top) that left little to the imagination.

The actress, who was attending the Tony Awards 2023 over the weekend, was dressed in black trousers paired with a black coat.

The look has been complimented with a paint hairdo (breastplate) that has sparked mixed reactions among her fans and followers.

A section said that they did not understand Lupita’s outfit while others appreciated her boldness for stepping out ‘topless’.

However, Lupita described her outfit as “a shameless-out-of-body experience,”.

She further narrated why she had rocked the outfit that has been created by Misha Japanwala a Pakistani artist and fashion designer.

“Honored, humbled, strengthened, and energized to don this breastplate created by @mishajapanwala, which she cast and molded of my body.

Misha Japanwala is a Pakistani artist and fashion designer, whose work is rooted in the rejection and deconstruction of external shame attached to one’s body. In her artistic process, she creates a realistic and true record of a person’s body as an act of resistance and celebration, and an insistence on being allowed to exist freely in our bodies,” Lupita shared in part.
