CS Kuria appoints former running mate, two others to state job

Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has appointed his former running mate Faith Mwaura to the Kenya Corporation Board.

Through a gazette notice dated June 15, 2023, Kuria said the appointment will run for three years, effective June 16.

"In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) (e) of the State Corporations Act, as read together with section 51 of the Interpretations and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry appoint Faith Mwaura to KDC Board," the gazette notice read. 

 
 

He said the appointment of Mboche Waithaka is revoked

Mwaura holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Daystar University and an MSc Degree in Real Estate from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.

In another appointment, the CS said Grace Otieno and Judith Kerich will be members of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Accreditation Service. 

 
 

"The appointment is for three years, effective June 16," he said. 

He noted that the appointments that were effected vide Gazette Notice Nos. 8264/2022, and 9546/2022 are revoked.
