Raila Odinga's daughter Winnie Odinga has assured Kenyans that her father and ODM Party leader is okay despite not showing up for Wednesday’s Maandamano.

Winnie shared the update after concerns from Kenyans on Odinga’s whereabouts.

“Sasa…Hii story ya Baba imetoka wapi? Baba ako sawa. Tena aliniboo na story ya gym 30mins ago,” Winnie Odinga tweeted.

She also responded to a Twitter user who had tweeted asking where her father was by saying: “Tulia. Baba ako Sawa. Stop making it hot.,”.

On Wednesday, reports of Raila being hospitalised started circulating online but there has been no official communication from his office concerning the same.

It is not clear if he is going to emerge today to lead the protests.

However, his Twitter handle has been active with statements condemning police brutality on demonstrators.

“The voice of the People must be heard. Our peaceful protest continues. #MaandamanoWednesdayToFriday

“This illegitimate regime is targeting innocent children; using live bullets. Totally unwarranted, unjustifiable, and uncalled for. This happened in Mashimoni-Kibra today,” Odinga tweeted.

At the same time Odinga’s bodyguard and spokesman Dennis Onyango, were arrested by the police according to ODM director of communications Philip Etale.

The Coalition has since announced three new convening grounds in Nairobi during Thursday's protests.

Narc leader Martha Karua said protesters will meet at Huruma Grounds, Kangemi Grounds and Central Park in Nairobi's Central Business District.

She urged Kenyans to demonstrate peacefully in their respective neighbourhoods

"In Nairobi, the people will assemble at Huruma Grounds, Kangemi Grounds and Central Park (CBD)," she said in a statement.
