Hilarious reasons Butita is thinking of quitting social media

Comedian/entrepreneur Eddie Butita is setting the record straight in regards to his dating life as well as revealing that he might soon be taking a break from social media.

The creative writer/director made the revelation while talking to digital content creator Celestine Ndinda popularly known as Wakavinye.

In a series of videos posted on Cele's Instagram Stories, Butita highlighted he wasn't ready to settle yet while maintaining his relationship status was a grey area,

"Guys public announcement from Mr. Single man himself, are you looking for someone?" Started off with Celestine Ndinda before Butita quickly cut her highlighting that his relationship status entirely depended on who was asking.

"It depends with the person asking, kuna watu wanajua siko single na kuna wale wanajua niko single," Butita said correcting Cele on her earlier statement.

Which loosely translates to;

(There are people who know I'm not single while there are others who know that I'm still in the market, single and searching)

Cele went on to quickly apologize for implying that Butita was single without having full information.

"Ghai pole... I didn't know... Mwenye anajua hayuko single pole, lakini mbona anakuficha?" The digital content creator asked.

Butita maintained it depends with who asks.

The creative director went on to discuss why he was thinking of taking a social media break saying that it was not only a depressing place to be in but he intimated that if he stayed there longer he'd end up being in a relationship that he apparently doesn't want.

"You see anytime I'm scrolling someone is dancing and then my mind gets filled with a lot of things... those things and moves and all

Social media shows you what you want to see, and mimi I don't want to see that," the comedian said.

He went on to add;

"I'm taking a break, I want to start reading books, watching documentaries and all that. No social media,"

Celestine went on to ask him if he was serious he didn't want someone because she could actually help.

"Sasa hiyo pepo inanifuata na mimi sitaki... nikikaa social media nitapata mtu na sitaki mtu coz kila saa naona mtu and I'm like wueh.

(That spirit keeps on following me and I don't want it! I'm leaving social media because if I stay there for long I might end up finding myself in a relationship)

Kwanza TikTok! TikTok is toxic..." Butita said.

Njugush's wife while still toying with Butita told him a lady by the name of Ruth had said she was available and ready for a relationship with him to which Butita warned Cele if she kept up with it he'd ditch her too.

"Ata nyinyi I'll start avoiding you because mtafanya nioe na sitaki..." he heartily told Cele who burst out laughing.
