Kenyan pro-Gymnast Wendy Waeni has opened up on how she is fairing with life after relocating to China.

The 18-year-old pro-Gymnast said she opted to relocate to China because of her love for Gymnastics.

“Imagine leaving your country and traveling over 7000 km because of love…

 

“Love made me say goodbye to everything, and everyone in Kenya. I found love in Beijing, China,” she said in part.

“I decided to relocate from Kenya to a new country at the age of 17yrs old, all alone,”.

Wendy has been sharing her stay in China via her socials, narrating how she is adjusting after moving to a new country.

 

In the said videos, Ms Waeni is always sharing her experiences while exploring Beijing and Shenzhen, in China.

“Welcome to Shenzhen, China, a city that never sleeps! The city comes alive after dark. These narrow alleyways are filled with lively restaurants, vibrant street vendors, and residents enjoying their evening activities.

“Am really proud of myself, from Huruma Slums in Nairobi & and now performing in the BIGGEST GYMNASTICS STAGE in the world,” she said in a series of posts.

At the same time, the young lady used her socials to guide her followers on how they can also relocate to a new country and start a new life.

Before relocating to China, Waeni had won several local and international awards. She had also performed for more than three Presidents -Uhuru Kenyatta, Yoweri Museveni, Paul Kagame  Mahama, and PM Cameron.

During her high school days in Kenya, Waeni was at some point appointed the UNICEF Champion for Children's Rights Ambassador, and her school fees were being paid by former CS Fred Matiang'i.
