Elsa Majimbo explains why she dumped her Mzungu boyfriend
Elsa Majimbo and her boyfriend Dj Hakeem went public with their relationship in December 2022.
US-based Kenyan comedian Elsa Majimbo has confirmed that she broke up with her Mzungu boyfriend last year after Coachella.
Majimbo made the revelation while narrating an ordeal she encountered a few months ago. According to the comedian, she felt disrespected after a male person touched her inappropriately while preparing for a panel discussion she had been invited to.
Majimbo says the incident left her frustrated – forcing her to reach out to her boyfriend to inform him of what had happened.
“I flew to Miami because I was speaking to a panel conversation because I was one of the speakers.. so if you have ever been miced up, it always on something that can hold and I was wearing address and it was strapless and so the mic could not hold. So we were trying to figure out a solution and the guy was like, you can mic it up on your underwear. So he took me to a private room and he lifted my dress, coz I thought he gonna leave me and go. He goes ahead a lifts my dress,”
She disclosed that his reaction to the whole incident forced her to end their relationship and until now she has never talked to him.
“After the panel is done, I’m angry and storming to my room. So the first person I called was my boyfriend and I told him this and this happened with this guy.
And the best thing he says is like ‘Do you think', maybe you were flirting with him and that's why he behaved that way. Immediately he said that I was going to hang up his phone and you would never hear from me again, see me again, or get a chance to smell me again.
It would be like I never existed and I hang up the phone and true to my word, he has never to this day heard from me,” Elsa Majimbo explained.
