Ruth Matete has thanked everyone who helped her during the hard times she went through, before and during the burial of her husband Pastor Beloved John Apewajoye.

John died while receiving treatment for burns after a gas explosion. He was buried this past week at the Lang'ata cemetery.

In a statement, Matete thanked Kenyans for the support she received

"Thank you so much for your support. Finances, prayers, calls, messages and any other way you stood with us. May you never lack. And may God send help your way when you need it."

She went on to ask people who'd like to help to reach her on her personal number.

"The Pay bill number link has now been officially closed, but if you still wish to send your support for baby Toluwa and I, you can use Mpesa on my number 0706206840."

Adding

"Please keep lifting baby Toluwa and I in prayers for the journey ahead. I believe in my heart that if God allowed me to get to it, He will get me through it. So many unanswered questions, but I press towards the mark of the high calling."

She concluded,

"My eyes remain fixed on the one who gives and takes away.Again, thank you so much and God bless you richly. Regards,Pastor Ruth Matete Apewajoye."

Matete is expecting a baby boy.
