Bill Cosby hit with a new lawsuit

American actor William Henry Cosby known as Bill Cosby is facing a new lawsuit after singer Morganne Picard alleged that she was drugged and rapped in the 1980s.

American media pundits report that the singer was invited to The Cosby show in 1987 when she was encouraged to drink intoxicating drinks in multiple occasions between that year and the year 1990.

According to People Magazine, Cosby is being sued for an alleged battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress

A representative of the actor told People that “It is disappointing to see that these alleged distractors are able to monetize false allegations against Mr. Cosby,” said Andrew Wyatt,

He added: “Mr. Cosby continues to invoke his Constitutional Rights by saying, ‘Not Guilty’ and vehemently denying all of these alleged allegations waged against him.”

Meanwhile, ex model Victoria Valentino filed for a lawsuit against actor in June with allegations that he drugged and raped her.

Before then, six women had filed a complaint alleging that he sexually assaulted them. The women; Eden Tirl, Jewel Gittens, Jennifer Thompson, Lili Bernard and Cindra Ladd, accused the actor of sexual assault, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress.

In 2018, he was sentenced to ten years in prison and was released in 2018 after the court overturned the conviction.

Over 60 women have accused him of drugging and sexually assault them.
