Lang'ata MP Phelix 'Jalang'o' Odiwuor says he did not betray his party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

The former Kiss FM presenter said he did not do anything wrong adding that Azimio la Umoja–One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga helped him financially.

"I didn't do any wrong, I met the president, Baba himself has met the president. But people will say that Baba is Baba and can meet anyone. Jalas is also Jalas and can also meet whoever he wants to," he told Willis Raburu on Wabebe XP

Asked whether he feels misunderstood or betrayed, Jalas said Raila gave him five million Kenya shillings for campaigns.

"He knows very well that I'm his son. Were it not for him, even my campaigns would have been very hard. And I know the big role he played in me being a ember of parliament. He supported me not only be endorsing me but also financially. He gave me personally five million shillings."

He added "Because ilikua imewaka, it is not easy. Baba loves me so much. Politics is a gave of chances. I've not betrayed my party."

Early this month, a statement by the ODM party's National Executive Council indicated that Jalang'o had been expelled alongside four other MPs.

The included Elisha Ochieng’ Odhiambo (Gem), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), and Tom Ojienda (Senator of Kisumu County).
