Mike Sonko posts a tweet reacting to Vera Sidika's transformation

Nairobi's former governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has taken to his Twitter page to make it clear that he is by all means not the guy jamming to Ruger's hit-song "Girlfriend" on TikTok.

The video that has elicited mixed reactions from netizens shows a man dressed in an all-white outfit.

The outfit includes a white and gold Versace shirt, white pants, a white cap, a gold belt, and a gold iced wristwatch. The middle-aged man with a similar build to that of Sonko is then seen trying to get in line with the TikTok dance that accompanies the song " girlfriend"

The businessman, Sonko is known to be a fun-loving, chilled guy with exceptionally good taste in all things fine and fashion thus it was so easy for him to get confused with the guy in the video.

However, the flamboyant man wants in no way to be associated with the guy from the video.

The former governor took to his Twitter page to post the viral video as he distanced himself from the guy who bore a striking resemblance to him.

" Excuse me, excuse me! Someone is sending me this video akisema ati ni mimi nadance, sio mimi huyo (claiming that I'm the one dancing, that is not me) " Sonko tweeted.

But in true Sonko fashion, he didn't leave the post just at that.

The father of three added, "Can you not see huyu anadance kwa nyumba ya slay queen wake ( this one is dancing inside his slay queen's house)? Na mimi siendangi kwa hao za ma slay queens ( and I personally don't go to slay queen's houses.)

This comes barely a day after Sonko had to defend himself from being a member of the Freemason after his recent post raised eyebrows.

On Monday, Sonko used his socials to alert Kenyans that the Freemason society was in a crisis meeting over Ambrose Rachier’s recent interview.

The update prompted a section of Kenyans to link him to Freemason, something he has denied.

He says he shared the Freemason update as a third party.

"The photos were forwarded to me by Richy at 6.24 pm and I posted them to update the public at around 7.45 pm.

The only editing I did was to remove the name of the advocate in the WhatsApp message,” Sonko maintained.
