Mumias East consistuents build a house for their Member of Parliament Peter Salasya

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya is truly a loved man when it comes to his constituency. The first time politician has netizens swooning online after he shared the impeccable progress of his village home, which the electorate built for him.

Taking to his social media pages Salasya showed the before, accompanied with the after and finally the complete house which as many Kenyans wowed his new humble yet beautiful house.

Hon. Salasya captioning the post wholeheartedly thanked the residents for building the home for him as he went on to promise to do his level best to transform the place and keep the words he said while campaigning.

 

The first-time MP shared beautiful photos of him at the newly constructed home.

In the social media posts, the photos showed the construction of the house, which started as a mud-walled house 7 months ago, to its final look all roofed and ready for occupation.

"Nothing is permanent, no situation is permanent. God is faithful and every dread is valid.

 

This journey started like a dream. Indeed I have changed this place. I will make Mumias East great because walinitoa mbali, and I will be faithful to them." The first part of his post read.

He went on to plug the construction workers who had created the beautiful home for him as he asked people to book them for their services.

"I thank all engineers and fundis from Mumias East who have changed this home all the way from landscaping and construction, Kumbe Mumias East has young potential! Congratulations for the good work.

In case you need their services come see them at my home," wrote the MP.

A few months ago, the MP was over joyed after purchasing his first vehicle, a multi-million luxurious Toyota Land Cruiser V8, model 2016, just a couple of months after he became a parliamentarian.

“Finally KDK037 is out and officially handed. Thank you people of #MumiasEast for the amazing trust and love you have in me." Tweeted the MP celebrating his win.

During an interview with Kiss FM's Dennis Milimo, Salasya, revealed that before the purchase he'd been using former CS Eugene Wamalwa's vehicle that the CS had donated to him.

Salasya said he was going to give back his former vehicle to the people of Mumias East.

"So guys, hii gari ni yenu watu wa Mumias East. Hii gari sio yangu. Mkiiona mnaona future governor wenu (So guys, this car belongs to you, people of Mumias East. This is not my car. Whenever you see it, you see your future governor)," he added.
