Tory Lanez cries he's innocent and didn't shoot Megan, 4 months after his guilty verdict

Canadian award-winning rapper Tory Lanez is still pining for his freedom despite his looming sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

The star s now calling on the District Attorney (D.A) to give him a fair shake this time around.

Tory who has been in prison for the last 4 months seems to have had enough of jail time and he's now going all out of his limbs to have his guilty verdict reversed.

Four months ago, a jury in Los Angeles convicted the 30-year-old Canadian of 3 felonies which include; negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm.

The 'Say It' rapper was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison but it seems he isn't going down without a fight.

In his appeal, Tory is now claiming that prosecutors tried to dirty him up with irrelevant evidence.

Through his new lawyer, famed criminal defence attorney Jose Baez, the rapper is truly clutching at straws with his new arguments. First Baez claims prosecutors submitted a shirtless photo of Tory with a firearm tattoo on his chest during the trial.

And that is not all!

Tory released a bombshell open letter on Instagram addressed to L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón pleading for the laws and God to work in his favor.

The letter accused Deputy D.A.'s Kathy Ta and Alex Bott of suppressing evidence that could've cleared his name and painted himself as a martyr for the cause of minority justice worldwide.

Captioning the post the father of one wrote "until my court date I’ll be posting the OUTRAGEOUS & DISGUSTING INJUSTICES used against me by the PROSECUTION to get the conviction they so DESPERATELY wanted, DESPITE the evidence they knew existed.

Tory and his legal counsel have an upcoming motion hearing for a new trial on May 8 and the Canadian rapper says he owes it to his family, friends, and fans to fight for his freedom

You'll remember, Tory's family caused quite a scene outside the courthouse after he was found guilty in December. They even went on to call out prominent black people in the industry (like Jay-Z ) for tanking their sons' case.

Megan also broke her silence on the case this week .expressing her wishes to put the trial and Tory in the past for good.

The 27-year-old Grammy-winning rapper, earlier testified that she was shot in the feet after leaving a pool party.

Speaking after the case concluded, one of Megan Thee Stallion's lawyers told reporters "The jury got it right. I am thankful there is justice for Meg". The rapper was not in court to hear the verdict.

During the trial, Megan Thee Stallion testified that she was shot and wounded at the party in the Hollywood Hills on 12 July 2020.

The rapper argued that Lanez, became enraged after she had disparaged his musical talent. She said she had demanded to be let out of a luxury car before he fired five rounds at her.

She told the jury the Canadian had told her to "dance" before opening fire.

She also testified that he had offered her $1m (£830,000) to keep quiet about the attack because he claimed to be on probation for a weapons offense. She initially said to police that she had cut her feet on the glass.

Lanez denied the charges relating to a dispute with the fellow artist and his lawyer, George Mgdesyan, unsuccessfully argued that the investigation had been botched.

He said it was Megan Thee Stallion's friend Kelsey Harris who had shot her, adding that it was all about "jealousy".
