Model Khloé Kardashian struggled with difficult emotions as she prepared to welcome her second child through the process of surrogacy aka 'buying a womb'.

During a confessional on the season 3 premiere of The Kardashians, the Good American co-founder, 38, opened up about struggling with guilt for using a surrogate to bring her son Tatum, who is now 9 months old, into the world.

Admitting that she was in "shock from the whole experience in general," Khloé explained in a confessional, "I buried my head in the sand during that pregnancy."

"When I went to the hospital, that was the first time it was registered, and it has nothing to do with the child."

"I felt very guilty that this woman only had my child, then I take the child and go to another room and completely separate him from the mother who carried him in the womb for nine months. It is an active experience because it does not concern him."

"I wish someone would be honest about intelligence and its difference," she continues.

"That doesn't mean it's bad - it's good, but it's very different." – PEOPLE quoted him.

Elsewhere in the episode, Khloé admitted that she felt less connected to her newborn than she did to her daughter True, now 5, after she was born.

"Kim said hers was easy, and this is not easy." Kardashian and Thompson began dating in 2016 and welcomed daughter True in 2018.

They split in June 2021 before getting back together. Kardashian then ended her relationship with the athlete later on.
