The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has recovered a house belonging to Kenya Reinsurance Corporation that had been allegedly grabbed.

The accused is said to have grabbed the property situated at Villa Franca Estate in Nairobi.

Last Week, the Environment and Land Court issued a judgement that the transfer of the property to the woman was illegal, fraudulent, null, and void.

“The court issues an order directing the woman to vacate and hand over possession of the property within 60 days failing which EACC shall obtain warrants to evict her,” the statement reads.

The court also restrained the accused and her family from stepping foot on the land.

“A permanent injunction restraining the accused, her servants and/or agents from alienating, encumbering, disposing of, wasting, and trespassing upon or in any other way interfering with the property except by way of surrender back to the Government,” reads the statement.

Further, the court directed that the accused should pay the profits that she has earned since she occupied the land.

“The accused to pay profits in the sum of Sh5,000,000,” reads the statement.

It also stated that the woman should pay the costs of the suit awarded to EACC.
