Anita Brown, an American socialite who gained notoriety for claiming to be pregnant for Nigerian artist Davido, has apologised to Chioma, Davido's wife, in a statement.
Anita, who also goes by the name Nina, said she regretted hitting at Chioma since she was going through a horrible time in her life.
She continued to say in her lengthy Instagram post that she never intended to criticise Chioma or mention her late son, but the betrayal she felt from the "Risky" hitmaker was overwhelming and got the better part of her.
Ms. Brown hinted that "losing" Davido had broken her heart since she had truly loved him.
"I am going through a traumatic and tragic time in my life, I honestly don't want to speak on it and don't need to or have to speak on it. It is too much to bear right now," started the American socialite.
She continued by saying that despite everything that had happened over the previous few months, her heart was still troubled and that she was most broken by turning on another woman.
Anita stated that she was prepared for the future and didn't want the turmoil of the previous three months to be associated with her or her personality.
"I am disquieted by all of the events that have taken place. The only thing I will say is I regret that I let my pain and feelings of betrayal allow me to turn me against another woman.
So, I apologise to Chioma. I never intended to speak on you or your child. Losing is never a good feeling, being hurt by someone you love and care about is not a good feeling. Moving forward, I would prefer to be known for the light I bring into the world. Peace & Love," the rest of her post read.
She posted some content on her Instagram stories that raised questions, including messages on dealing with liars, moving on, and a few prayers.
One of them was titled, "Knowing when to walk away prayer," while another read, "A prayer to get yourself back together,"
However, internet users are not appreciating Anita's apologies, and others still think it is an attempt to gain influence. Others were envious of Chioma's ability to ignore the distractions and stay with her lover.
