Super proud of you- Gilad to his son as he goes back to Israeli army
The singer shared his son and daughter grew up in Kenya but had chosen to go and defend their homeland
Award-winning musician Gilad Millo has with a heavy heart revealed that his son has flown back to their home country, Israel to join the army in service.
Gilad also revealed that his daughter was also a soldier in the Israeli army.
He gushed over how both his kids grew up in Kenya but out of a sense of duty had chosen to go and defend their homeland.
The 'Unajua' crooner took to his Instagram page to share a video showing his son's arrival in Israel. He also shared a few other posts one showing off the fun side of his son while the others highlighted his time in the military.
"Early this morning our son #Omer landed in Israel to join his paratrooper unit as a reservist in @idf 🇮🇱," started off the artist.
He went on to highlight how his son had encountered so many tribulations but had safely made it to Israel.
"Omer who finished his army service over a year ago was surfing in Nicaragua on October 7th when Hamas terrorists butchered over 1300 innocent Israelis 💔 without hesitating and despite many flight cancellations he found a way to get home to #Israel and was received at the airport this morning by his sister #Lia who is a soldier," Gilad added.
Speaking of his daughter, he noted she is an active duty medic and has been training incoming signees getting them ready for field duty and handling such heavy moments of war.
"Lila and @idf have been working around the clock since Saturday morning's atrocities training combat medical teams in preparation for active duty and feels grateful for every doctor, paramedic and medic she has the privilege to train 🙌🏽"
Finishing off he reminded his kids that him and his wife were madly proud of them and their beautiful acts of service to humanity as he prayed to God to protect them and keep them safe.
"Both of our children grew up in Kenya and chose to join the Israeli army out of a sense of duty and both of them have lost people they know in these horrendous attacks as have all of their friends 💔
