Media personality Jacque Maribe has been found innocent in Monica Kimani's murder case, while her co-accused Joseph 'Jowie' Irungu was found guilty. 

Maribe is a Kenyan TV presenter and reporter. She was a famous face on television and worked at the Royal Media Services as a reporter on political affairs. 

In 2009, Maribe became a senior Political Reporter at K24 TV and worked until 2011 when he left for Citizen TV. 

Early Life:

Jacque Maribe was born on December 18, 1989, and grew up with her siblings under the care of her parents in Buruburu, Nairobi.

She attended elementary and secondary school in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maribe Mwangi, live in BuruBuru estate in Nairobi. She resides in Royal Park Estate, Langata, after moving from BuruBuru.

Education:

Jackie Maribe went to State House Girls ' School and later after high school, she joined Nairobi University where she did her degree in journalism.

Career:

Jacque Maribe was best known for being an actress on a local TV show in 2005.

She joined journalism as a political reporter for the television station K24 in 2009.

After working for two years at K24, she moved to a radio station still as a political reporter.

She worked as a political affairs reporter at Kiss TV of Radio Africa Group from 2011 to 2012.

Maribe was the Political Affairs Reporter for Citizen TV. She joined the television station in 2012.

Personal Life:

Back in 2014, Jackie Maribe and comedian star Eric Omondi welcomed their first child, known as Zahari.

Not much is known to the public about their son.

Though her baby daddy never asked her to marry him, someone else did. 

Jacque Maribe and her then-boyfriend Joseph Kuria Irungu, aka Jowie, got engaged on June 30, 2018.

However, her fiancé was linked to the killing of a woman identified as Monica Kimani in Kilimani, which affected their love life.

Awards:

Jacque Maribe won the Head of State Commendation winner in 2017. She received the civilian award from the then - Head of State, former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Jackie Maribe's case has made headlines for years.

In 2018, Jackie Maribe together with his ex-fiance Jowie Irungu were first charged with the murder of Monica Kimani.

Monica was a very successful businesswoman who died hours after jetting back from Juba South Sudan.

She came back on the 19 of September 2018 and died hours later after her arrival.

Monicah was found dead early in the morning with her throat slit up and her body dumped in the bathtub with water running.

On February 9, 2024, Justice Grace Nzioka of the High Court of Kenya found Jowie Irungu guilty while Maribe was founder innocent in Monica Kimani's murder case.
