Comedian Eric Omondi has shown support for his Tanzanian friend and singer Diamond Platnumz for the BET awards. Diamond has been nominated as the Best international Act.

He will battle it out with Nigeria's Burna Boy, Wizkid and others.

This nominatios has been received with mixed reactions from Tanzanians, those in support of Diamond Platnumz are pushing for the singer to win the award while those against the singer are pushing for Nigeria's Burna Boy to take the award to his home.

This split has seen many industry legends among them Professor Jay and Ray C ask fellow Tanzanians to be one in helping Diamond Platnumz bring the award home.

Rayvanny is the only Tanzanian singer with this kind of award.
