Nigerian singer Burna Boy has revealed that he dislikes X users, previous Twitter. He names Kenyans on Twitter, Nigerians, South Africans and Americans  who use the platform, terming it as a worldwide pandemic.

Speaking on KissFresh, a UK radio station, the singer said;

"I don't like people on Twitter. I used to think it was just Nigerians on twitter that were just mad. Then I now went to Kenya, I saw it was the same thing," he said

 

Adding "I went to South Africa, it was the same thing. I went to America, they have their own group. If you go, you'll see all of them tageed. Twitter mad people for America they have their own....Its a wordlwide pandemic and phenomenon."

In 2017, he performed at a club in Westlands before arriving late for his performance. Kenyans on Twitter (X) aired their disappointment on the platform.

He responded with a tweet that referred to Kenyans as peasants.

In 2018, he was to make an appearance at Citizen TV's 10 over 10 but the artiste made a U-turn after he was allegedly told that he would be talking about the tweet that angered man and therefore, he would have a chance to apologize.

At the time, the show's presenters, Willis Raburu and Joey Muthengi announced;

" previously advertised, one Burna Boy was supposed to be here, however, he came. Remember the last time he was here he called Kenyans peasants, we wanted him to elaborate and explain himself, apologize if he felt the need to  to apologize for calling us peasants but he was not ready to answer the questions that we have for him. So he decided to make a U-tun and exited out of the building. Afanye nini? Aende"
