fans were sent into a fresh frenzy on social media this week over her original best friend Karlie Kloss' allegiance to Scooter Braun.

The model and Project Runway host, 26, has been managed by the entertainment executive since 2015 and he confirmed their bond is as close as ever with a telling Instagram post on Wednesday.

He shared Karlie's 'incredible' new Vogue UK cover on his social media along with a gushing caption which read: 'Could not be prouder to be on this journey with you. Your greatest beauty is your love for others and we love you. Congrats!'

Taylor's very devoted fans were quick question Karlie's loyalty to the singer and speculate about the status of their friendship.

The singer, 29, and model became fast friends in 2013 after meeting at a Victoria's Secret show. They enjoyed Instagram-worthy holidays together, would hit up the gym and take in music concerts arm-in-arm. They were so close, in fact, that the model even had her very own room in the singer's New York apartment.

So when Taylor received an outpouring of support from her celebrity friends amid her ugly battle with Scooter over her master records last month, the silence from Karlie was deafening.

Scooter and Taylor's feud came to a head in late June when the pop songstress lashed out at the agent/manager on Instagram, calling him out as a 'bully' and accusing him of ongoing harassment.

Afterwards, stars like Halsey, Cara Delevingne, Iggy Azalea, Jack Antonoff, and Camila Cabello came to Taylor's defence while Kloss stayed out of the fray.

So, some fans were quick to slam Karlie in the comments section of Scooter's post.

'Judas Kloss,' one commenter wrote.

Many more came in with tags like '#WeLoveTaylor','#TayQueen,' and other variations while others plugged Swift's forthcoming album Lover.

Fans first suspected Taylor and Karlie's friendship was on the rocks all the way back in 2017 when Kloss was spotted hanging out with Kendall Jenner - the little sister of longtime Swift antagonist Kim Kardashian.

Taylor went on to shock fans at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, when she debuted the music video for the track Look What You Made Me Do, in which she wears a tee shirt with the names of her BFFs. Fans didn't overlook the fact Karlie's name was missing from the list.

Continuing the trend, in 2018 Karlie was photographed with Katy Perry, who was another one of Taylor's adversaries at the time.

Kloss finally broke her silence about the friendship rumors during a chat with the New York Times, telling the newspaper of record 'Don’t believe everything you read,' in response to a question about their relationship.

Though Karlie reassured people there was no strife, things continued to seem sour after Swift refrained from sending congratulations to Kloss following her engagement to Josh Kushner.

But despite the red flags, it appeared like the friends were back on in August of 2018 when they shared their first selfie in over a year-and-a-half.

'Nashville was out of this world, I am SO proud of you,' Kloss wrote in the caption of a photo from Taylor's Nashville Reputation show.

But two months later, Karlie was wed to Josh, first in an intimate New York ceremony and later with a lavish Wyoming celebration, neither of which Swift attended.

And while Taylor was absent from the Kloss-Kushner union, Scooter Braun was very present for the Wyoming nuptials.

Taylor's antipathy for Scooter recently came to a head after the agent extraordinaire snagged Swift's former label Big Machines, leading the starlet to lash out at Braun for 'bullying' her.

And while many of Swift's famous friends - like Halsey and Cara Delevingne - came to her defense, Karlie stayed silent.

Most recently Taylor's stylist/friend Ashley Avignone fueled speculation of a break-up, by liking tweets from gossip blogger Perez Hilton which speculated about a falling out. The likes were unearthed by blog PopCrave.

In Perez's tweets, he claimed that Kloss and Swift actually ended their friendship 'because [Taylor] found out that Karlie was telling things about her and her carrer [sic] to Scooter Braun.'

But a mere 'like' is far from an endorsement.

Though the rumor mill continues to churn, Karlie only had kind words for Taylor when asked about the pop star during an appearance on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live! in March of 2019.

'Taylor is incredible, and I feel lucky to call her a friend,' Kloss said, adding 'She's one of the hardest-working women and I loved her essay [in Elle about turning 30.]'
