On April 20, 2018, we woke up to some sad news on the loss of the Legendary EMD Dj, Avicii and a Tanzanian video vixen, Masogange. The Tanzanian entertainment industry was plunged into mourning for their great video queen Agnes Masogange and the whole world was mourning the super producer and EDM DJ, Avicii.

The most bizarre thing about their death was that the two celebrities were born on the same date and same year, September 8, 1989, and the sad thing is they died on the exact same date and of course at a young age of 28.

DJ Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, died Friday afternoon in Oman and one of his rep's released a statement:

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

He had retired from live performing in 2016, citing health reasons. He had suffered from health problems for several years, including acute pancreatitis, in part due to excessive drinking. He had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014. His funeral plans are yet to be confirmed.

Ms. Masogange, on the other hand, had succumbed to pneumonia and low blood pressure that had paused as a health concern during her 4 days stay at the Mama Ngoma Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania which then took her life at 4 pm on Friday.

Tanzania’s Global Publishers reported that hundreds of Dar es Salaam residents made their way to Mama Ngoma Hospital when news about Ms. Masogange’s death broke Friday evening. Her body was later on moved to Muhimbili National Hospital said a statement from comedian Steve Nyerere, with funeral plans ongoing.
