Buying a stolen phone or laptop can lead to death sentence -DCI

The DCI (Directorate of Criminal Investigate) took to Twitter to issue a warning to the general Kenyan public over buying electronic gadgets from unregistered dealers.

And by electronic gadgets, we mean cellphones, laptops, TVs.

The DCI advised Kenyans to only procure electronic goods from dealers who have a fixed physical address and have conspicuously displayed the requisite authorization documents including licenses, permits and other local or national approvals.

The DCI notes that unregistered dealers trade in stolen goods some of which have been robbed from murdered victims. And in the course of the investigations if you are found to be in possession of property stolen from a murder victim... You are in for a world of hurt.
