The 2019 BET Awards opened with a bang, both literally and figuratively, with a two-song duet performance by Cardi B and Offset that included a lap dance delivered by the hip-hop queen.

The crowd roared when Cardi, who could be heard but not seen, belted out a line from Press.

But it was the Migos rapper who stepped out on the stage first, among a cloud of smoke and a flurry of male dancers.

Dressed in an edgy all-black ensemble, that included a bullet-proof vest over a bomber-style jacket, Offset came out of the gate hard with a Kim Kardashian reference in his song Clout.

'Watch your mouth (Watch it). Stay in your place (Place). Get out the way (Move). My b***h on your a**, Kim K (Yeah),' he rapped with authority.

At one point Offset coordinated some moves with the band of dancers behind him.

'Do anything for clout. They do anything for clout,' the background vocals chanted as Cardi made her grand entrance on the lap of her husband.

'Whole lotta people need to hear this (Facts), Cardi began as she rubbed up against her husband dressed in a revealing green sequin leotard ensemble and matching chaps.

'It's a lotta names on my hit list (Bap bap). Mouth still say what it wants to (Woo),' she added with her familiar rhythmic flow.
