Cardi B reportedly feels 'zero remorse' for throwing a shoe at rival Nicki Minaj during a New York Fashion Week party on Saturday.

The I Like It hitmaker, 25, was simply 'defending her daughter's honour' after hearing the Anaconda rapper, 35, had been 'talking trash' about her family, sources claimed.

Cardi believes Nicki likes to 'incite people for sport' and was so enraged by her alleged comments that she would throw a shoe at her again, according to TMZ.

'Cardi B wouldn't change a damn thing about her decision to attack Nicki Minaj, in fact, she'd even chuck her shoe again in that same situation,' a source told the site.

'Cardi was simply defending her daughter's honor after hearing Nicki had been talking trash about her family... and she'd still sling her stiletto if she had to do it all over again.'

The insider added: 'Cardi thinks Nicki has some nerve saying she needs an intervention, when Nicki is the one who incites people almost for sport.'

After the fight, Cardi B posted on Instagram to accuse Minaj of 'talking s**t' about her parenting skills.

Cardi B - real name Belcalis Almanzar - gave birth to daughter Kulture in July.

She wrote: 'I've let a lot of sh*t slide. I let you sneak diss me. I let you lie on me. I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat! You've threatened other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you'll stop f**king with them! I let you talk big s**t about me.

'I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person and every time you copped a plea!! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f***ing off!

'I've worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f**k with my success!!! B*****s talk all that s**t in they raps but in real life they p**sy. This s**t really is for entertainment.'

Nicki also said she was 'mortified' by her altercation with the 'Bodak Yellow' rapper and was embarrassed by how they 'made their selves look'.

Speaking on Beats 1 on Apple Music, she said: 'The other night I was a part of something so mortifying, so humiliating to go through in front of upper echelon people - it's not about black or white - people who have their lives together.'

She added, 'I was mortified ... I could not believe how humiliated I felt .... how we - and I use the term 'we' loosely - made ourselves look. 'I would never discuss anyone's child. It's so sad for someone to pin that on me.

In another interview, the chart topper said that if Cardi keeps fighting with people, she could 'die.'
