Ray C is best known for her single Umenikataa, Wanifuata Nini and Sogea Sogea which was received well in East Africa. However her debut song Uko Wapi saw her rise in the music industry after working for a long time in a Tanzanian based radio station, which is currently one of the leading radio stations in Tanzania.
Life became hard for Ray C after some nude photos were posted online where she was rumored to have started acting phonographic movies. This was her biggest downfall as the Kama Vipi songstress deeped herself into drugs which caused even bigger harm.
Rehema Chamila (Ray C) had struggled with drug addiction for sometime and was later rescued by Tanzania's former president Jakaya Kikwete who paid for her rehabilitation services at Life And Hope Rehabilitation Centre better still known as Sober Centre. Before the rescue, Ray C had attempted to commit suicide after which she was taken under police custody.
It seems that since then, Ray C has been working towards getting back her slim and trim body after critism from fans over becoming weight. Here's is a video of her best dance moves in her new body
