Though the festival is the brainchild of Wasafi Records and more so Diamond Platnumz, it brings together Tanzanian artistes from different record labels and management stables as Diamond's desire to see it succeed necessitated the inclusion of diverse talent.
That said and done, there was one notable omission from the line up of acts set to perform and that was none other than Harmonize. The artiste who has been having alot of problems with his boss, Diamond Platnumz ergo the label WCB was not in attendance nor performing.
When taken to task about his absence, Diamond said the following:
“The Festival is for everyone not only for WCB. You can find we were booked even months prior so it means we will not be there sometimes. We cannot cancel anyone's show unless they themselves cancel them.For example in Mwanza, Mbosso will not be there, Rayvanny will also not be there. In other regions even I won’t be available so….”
But even with the cloud of the beef between Diamond and Harmonize hanging over the festival, it was still lit as the photos below prove:
