Chris Brown has been accused by a visual artist of ripping off his s3xually suggestive work for a new music video for Wobble Up.
Marius Sperlich - who boasts 375K followers on Instagram - took to social media to accuse the 30-year-old singer of stealing some of his concepts.
The artist shared examples of several of his 2018 works which bared undeniable similarities to many of the visuals directed by Brown and collaborator Arrad.
Sperlich believes he was not the only artist ripped off as he claimed that Tony Futura and Vanessa Mckeown as well as Catherine Losing have all taken to social media to also call out Brown and company.
The German artist who recently collaborated with Playboy for their Winter 2019 cover wrote:
'Apparently my work got copied by the director who made the new @chrisbrownofficial @nickiminaj @g_eazy music video “Wobble Up” - without permission, without credit - along with works of other famous artists like @tonyfutura and @vanessamckeown #changeindustry.
He cites two of his works being ripped off including a breast with a temperature dial on it and a derriere peaking out of the water with a palm tree on it like an island.
Sperlich goes on to write:
'Intellectual Property has to be protected at any cost! Now that the internet and social media proliferate content instantly. We need to make sure that the creative source is present from the first launch. This, unfortunately, happens offers in the creative industry. Nowadays it's very easy to copy things.
'For many, the internet is just an open source of concepts, ideas and free content. Nobody cares about creation, originals and credit anymore. Especially if you are a young and an emerging artist....most can't afford a lawyer for a lawsuit. So most of them remain silent - We won’t stay silent.'
The artists went after Brown just hours after he released his twerking music video for his new single, Wobble Up, featuring Nicki Minaj and G-Eazy on Monday, with even a surprise appearance from Tyga.
