Lady Gaga apologized for collaborating with R. Kelly on her 2013 single Do What U Want, and vowed to to remove the song from iTunes and other streaming platforms, as well as to never work with R. Kelly again.

Christina Aguilera took to Instagram on Friday to applauding the 32-year-old Bad Romance songstress for 'doing the right thing.'

The 38-year-old Genie in a Bottle singer shared a photo of the two on stage in 2013 after performing the song during The Voice finale.

'Cool to see the version of this song I did with @ladygaga on the charts again — this is a reminder of women sticking together— and not letting a man take ownership of a great song/ moment,' began Aguilera in her caption.

'And if anything the message of this song remains that although you may have had my body, you will never have my heart, my voice my life or my mind.

'Being a survivor of past predators myself, these lines spoke to me, which is why I did the song.

'I embrace all survivors of sexual and domestic violence and abuse holding a special place in my heart, and you @ladygaga, for doing the right thing!' finished the statement.

After collaborating with R. Kelly for the original version of Do What U Want, Gaga created an alternate studio version of the track with Aguilera taking over supporting duties.
