Nigeria has put Africa on the map once again thanks to Burna Boy

We are still recovering from the 19th BET Awards fever.

It was one of a kind. Full of tears, jumps, screams and big smiles. Cardi B was the queen who scooped all the nominations.

The 'On The Low' hitmaker won this year's International act of the year but he was not on stage to accept the trophy.

Burna Boy's lovely mother took to stage with a very powerful acceptance speech where she said,

he must be the most restless boy I have ever seen. he was here right now. (LAUGHS) Thank You so much BET, thank you so much, Africa, because that is where we got noticed in the first place. and the message from Burna I believe would be. Every African should remember that you were Africans before you became anything else.

Davido took to social media with a congratulatory message to Burna Boy where he assured him that he deserves it.

Congrats Mi lo lo !!! U over deserve this my brother !! More to come @burnaboygram 🖤

Nigerian singer Davido has won the Best International Act at last year's BET awards and his message then was that international artistes should collaborate more with African artistes because there is a lot of talent and influence.

I'm telling you guys, y'all come to Africa, eat the food, wear the clothes. My continent has been so blessed to influence other cultures. Let's collaborate, everybody

True to that, a lot of African artists have gone way beyond. Not only with collaborations but also with brands. Yemi Alade just released a song with Rick Ross and she is the Belaire brand ambassador.

Congratulations Burna Boy. Hopefully, Kenya will be nominated next year.

Great things are happening in Africa.
