This is what I call African girls killing it! If you recall, I had an interview with Nqobile Danseur, arguably the top female African dancer. She has worked with Drake, Rihanna, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and other top artistes.
You may have seen her in Davido’s successful “If” music video, which is the most watched Nigerian music video of the year, standing at 53M views at the time of this publication. She has previously appeared in Maleek Berry’s “Kontrol” music video, which made her stand out as a super talented dancer.
Well, our girl is not stopping to excel anytime soon as she just bagged herself a major magazine feature. She is in the current issue of Elle Magazine South Africa. The model, singer and trailblazer took to Instagram to share the amazing news with her fans.
So grateful to be featured in @ellesouthafrica #BodyIssue 🙏🏾🚀@mistyonpointe congrats on the cover of this issue💛 I dedicate this to ALL DANCERS. We work so damn hard and sweat our asses off (literally) & at times get overlooked and unappreciated as “the bottom of the food chain”. We deserve recognition!!! Photographer: @seyeisikalu
She was grateful that she was being recognized back in her home country, South Africa, calling it a “huge deal”.
Huuuuge deal for me to be recognised back home in SA aka “Mzansi” 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Thank you @ellesouthafrica #BodyIssue
She is actually a down-to-earth kinda girl. In my conversation with her, Nqobile was humble enough to share success tips with other upcoming performers. She said that her “biggest advice to anybody with a dream and vision, performer or whatever it is you want to be would be to GO FOR IT!!”
Check out her performance in “IF”
