The tour featuring musical superstars Drake and Migos, has been postponed for more than two weeks in the wake of Migos member Offset’s arrest last week.
‘In order to deliver the high standard tour experience our fans expect and deserve,’ a publicist for Drake said, ‘we have made the necessary decision to slightly adjust the beginning of the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour schedule.’
The trek was initially slated to kick off Thursday in Salt Lake City, Utah, but has been pushed back to an August 10 opening in Kansas City, Missouri, People reported.
It will venture through the U.S. and Canada, with stops in locales including New York City, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles, wrapping up November 17 in Offset’s native Atlanta.
A Chicago concert slated for August 20 was cancelled, and shows at four other venues were rescheduled. (They included: an August 10 date at Kansas City, Missouri’s Sprint Center; August 12 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota; August 20-22 at the Air Canada Centre in Drake’s hometown of Toronto; and at Salt Lake City, Utah’s Vivint Smart Home Arena October 10.
Organizers said those who bought tickets to any cancelled concerts will be given a refund.
Cardi B’s husband, 26, was arrested last week in connection with possession of drugs and guns in Jonesboro, Georgia after police sad they witnessed him changing lanes in improper fashion.
Authorities said that Offset’s Porsche 911 Carrera smelled of marijuana. Amid a subsequent probe of the vehicle, police said they found three guns and in excess of $107,000.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and the Bodak Yellow beauty earlier this month welcomed their first child together, daughter Kulture. They were not in the car at the time.
Both are touring in support of the albums the released earlier this year, as Drake dropped his latest record Scorpion last month – it’s spent three weeks in Billboard’s top spot. Migos dropped Culture II in January, and the album debuted atop the charts, subsequently going platinum.
