Eddy has worked hard to make his music career a success after growing up in poverty and losing his mother at the tender age of 5, but he has managed to work his way up the ladder and is doing extremely well in his line of music.
In the just concluded Uganda Entertainment Awards (UEA) ceremony, held on Friday 19th August at Kampala Serena Hotel’s Victoria Hall, the BET award wining artist was the star after scooping several awards.
He says Uganda is finally starting to recognise his efforts and talents after being cheated in many other previous Awards.
According to he claimed that despite being a big name and super star outside Uganda, he has never been given the credit he deserves at home and is always cheated by organisers who opt to recognise other artistes instead.
"This is the first time I am attending an Awards ceremony in Uganda. The reason is because they usually cheat me. But let’s leave politics alone and go for competition," Kenzo said.
He finished with, "I have won awards many places. I won Best East African Artiste in Burkina Faso, I also won Best New East African Artiste in 2014 which was in Australia I have that one. I won Best East African African artiste In Nigerian Entertainment Awards in 2015, Ladies and gentlemen, I won the BET Award which means I am left with one – The Grammy awards."
All the best Eddy! Your dreams are valid.
