That was the beginning of her luck because she landed a job at one of the largest media houses in the country.
After 6 years of building her brand, she quit her job after landing an opportunity in Germany, working for Deutche Welle, as the East Africa correspondent and shortly after, an anchor in Berlin. In a recent interview, she talked about how hard it was to adjust in a foreign country.
"It was very overwhelming and it took me a year to make that choice and it was one of the difficult months of my life."
She said it took her a year to make the decision and it was one of the difficult months in her life, as she had to adjust to a new environment and a different culture.
Language barrier was among the challenges she faced considering the fact that it's a German speaking nation. She never knew German at the time and she still doesn't. Edith thanked her fellow journalist Larry Madowo for teaching her all that she knows.
She is doing great things in the international platform and recently she made her mark at the World Economic Forum along side Larry Madowo.
