He was dealt a huge blow when his team the Seattle Seahawks lost out in NFL playoffs on Sunday.
But Russell Wilson had one thing on his mind after the devastating loss - his pregnant wife, Ciara.
After the team was beaten by the Atlanta Falcons, instead of feeling down - the 28-year-old quarterback took to Instagram to reveal that he would always be a winner because he got to go home to the singer every night.
Alongside a stunning picture of the couple sharing a sweet kiss in the snow, he wrote: 'I will forever win bc I get to come home to you every night. The love of my life. I love you.'
'This past year has been full of so much joy & happiness. From getting married, to having our little one on the way, to your constant endless love. I couldn't be more grateful to have you in my life, Mrs. Wilson. You make every day a perfect day.'
However, despite their happy families situation playing out on social media, Ciara's rift with her ex, rapper Future, got a whole lot deeper because of the game.
The Goodies hitmaker took their son, also called Future, to cheer on his step-dad when the teams went head-to-head on Saturday.
The rapper, 33, was also on the sidelines supporting his home team, the Falcons, who won the game in their hometown 36-20.
But although the Seahawks lost, Ciara was quick to show Future that she's the winner in the parenting stakes, posting a snap of her and the two-year-old in her car and another of her and a pal swinging the tot as they entered the stadium.
The 31-year-old captioned it, pointedly: 'No greater blessing than having family. We're proud of you @dangerusswilson'.
