Jacque Maribe and Joe Irungu today appeared in court to know their fate in terms of being granted bail.

Well, Jacque has been granted bail of 1 Million shillings, while Jowie was denied bail.

Judge James Wakiaga stated a few reasons as to why he was denied.

  1.  He is well trained in the security sector which might interfere with the witnesses on the case of Monica Kimani's death.
  2. Potential witnesses might prefer to keep quiet because they will become apprehensive because he can handle a  gun which might create fear.
  3. From his gun wound, his affidavit says that he is was shot by people who wanted to end his life whereas the prosecutor says that it was self-inflicted so he is under threat or danger, he needs close supervision, under custody.

Well, Jacque's friends have been making appearances in court to offer her moral support. But Jowie's friends have not been spotted to offer their support until today after his good friend, Joe Muchiri attend the bail ruling.

The two have been friends for a while now and have always been spotted clubbing together in joints around town.

The two were frequent attendees of the famous restaurant Jiweke Tavern and even created a WhatsApp group for those who frequent the place.

Many have questioned why none of Jowie's friends have made the effort to attend court hearings, considering they were always together partying.
