The two, Landan Balla, and Iddi Singer have refuted claims that they have been radicalized and are involved in terrorist activities.
This came after a blog published an article claiming that lyrics on their songs are sympathetic to two of Africa's most hated terrorist organizations, Al Shabaab and Boko Haram.
The blog stated that lyrics from The Ones and their single Shikide comes off as praising these radical group.
"Words like Somalian, Taliban, Boko Haram keep popping up on their songs. Landan at times dorns a headscarf similar to those worn by members of the Al Shabaab terrorist group, and he is often on the move between Kenyan and London notorious for terrorists including the world's most wanted female terrorist, Samantha Lewthwaite.
Adding, "Landan's partner Iddi who is also a singer is from Mombasa well known as a radicalization base for Al Shabaab."
These are characteristics of radicals said the writer of the blog.
Commenting on the issue, Landan said, "That's one of the most ridiculous, absurd thing I have ever heard in my life. I have never ever been in trouble with the law in any country, in this world, not even a parking ticket.
He continued, "I am a law-abiding citizen of the world. I am in no way linked to terrorists or any of their activities, those words just happen to rhyme well with other words, within the lyrics of the song."
Iddi Singer added in the press statement, "We are patriots of this great nation, and love all our Kenyan brothers, and sisters. Just because I am a Muslim, and come from Mombasa doesn't make me a terrorist.
Adding, "Our music, and videos are a reflection of the kind of talent that this country harbours. Kenya is a hotbed of exceptional talent, not terrorists."
