The World University Rankings according to Times Higher Education has been announced and as they usually do, they have listed the best universities in the world.

Needless to say, Ivy League schools made the cut but Oxford which was the number one school of 2019 retained its position. The top 10 schools stacked up like this:

University of Oxford

California Institute of Technology

University of Cambridge

Stanford University

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Princeton University

Harvard University

Yale University

University of Chicago

Imperial College London

No African University made it to the list of the world's best. However, that does not mean we do not have good universities on the motherland. So going through the list to stack up the best African schools, we came up with a list of 10 schools. Question is, how do Kenyan universities lie on the totem pole?

Is there a Kenyan school that is a beacon of higher education on the continent? Well, there are South African schools, Nigerian schools, Uganda too is represented as is Egypt then we are done.
