When he was starting out, no record label wanted to sign him in yet he had great music. He recalls using any avenue possible to spread his music.
"We reached out to record labels and didn’t get any feedback so we just kept putting music out independently. I recall that we used to put it on My Space and Hi5 back then. So we just used the tools that were available to us." Banky W says

Banky even shared how he saw so much talent n WizKid and made sure he declared he was a star way before his fame.
I was thinking What do we call WizKid's album. Then One day I told my team we are going to call the album ‘Superstar’. My partners asked why? I said to them, we need to already set the expectation.
In as much as WizKid was ish-ish about it wondering how will he call himself a superstar yet it will take him years before he actually becomes one.
"We said that with this album, you are a superstar already. We had to say that so that when people see it, they would know how to respond to what we were trying to do. It sounded funny but it was an act of faith. The secret to achieving any goal is to take a step of faith."Banky Said
In both scenario's Banky W took a leap of faith and they have all worked for him. Moral of the story, let nothing stop you from achieving your goals.
WizKid is now one of the most sought after artistes worldwide and Banky W has made his name known worldwide with his music and recently his acting career.
